Dr. Jens Klessmann joins the Executive Board

At the general meeting on November 26, 2025, Dr. Jens Klessmann was elected as the new substitute member of the Executive Board. He succeeds Jan Ziesing and takes up the position with immediate effect. We are delighted that he has agreed to actively support the association in the future.

Dr. Jens Klessmann is Head of the Digital Public Services Division at Fraunhofer FOKUS and has been working in digital administration, research, and consulting for many years. He has worked intensively on governance technologies and modern data infrastructures in numerous national and international projects. Since 2014, he has also headed a specialist group on data infrastructures in the public sector.

He received his doctorate in administrative sciences from the University of Speyer, focusing on cooperation between public administration and civil society. Many members already know him from lectures and presentations at VSDI events and events such as SCCON in Berlin, where he has provided valuable insights into topics related to digital sovereignty and the Germany Stack.
